It’s October, and there is no pleasant way to say it – summer is over. But here in Scotland, autumn comes with plenty of benefits. The landscapes are bright with autumnal colours, the skies have a wonderful purple and orange glow and wildlife watching becomes a national sport.
While we often complain that we want a hotter summer with more sunny days and grumble over another wet winter with no real snow, it is autumn that displays the beauty of this unique place to its fullest.
Here at Jenny Grace we are glad that now is the time for comfy jumpers (yay long sleeves) -and hats (who needs nice hair now) to keep us warm in the crisp autumn air.
Staying in is the new going out, sweetened by hot chocolate laden with cream and cosy evenings with good friends. And if we overdo the comfort food, there is the opportunity to walk it off on a leisurely stroll through beautiful autumn woods.
Not glamorous you say? Don’t be fooled – autumn is the season of accessories! Add a bit of autumnal sparkle – such as our new black druzy and sterling silver earrings – and your relaxed outfit suddenly radiates elegance.
It is the season that offers us so much inspiration for designing truly Scottish pieces and so you’ll find the workshop a hive of activity – as long as no one runs out of the spiced latte that is … We can’t wait to share our newest creations soon.
